Easily Make Your Own T Shirt And Stand Out From the Masses

It’s easy to make our own t shirt. Once you have your inspiration you can probably put something unique together in as little as a few minutes. Just taking an old shirt and adding to it by sewing on a patch or using paints or marker pens is the simplest way. It’s a fun activity for anyone at any age and at the end you will have a unique creation, that you can be confident you wont see anyone else wearing.

It doesn’t have to be expensive to make your own t shirt. You can start by using one of your old t shirts that has seen its last wash cycle, or by visiting your local charity shops and second hand stores to pick up shirts that you can give a new lease of life to. Your only other expense is the materials to create your design, and you can get fabric paints or markers printed or embroidered patches and iron on transfers from your local hobby or arts and craft shop or online, there are even blank iron on transfer paper you can print yourself using your computer and any printer.

If you don’t have the time, or the inclination, to get your hands dirty by creating or printing your own, there are many online print on demand websites that allow you to upload a design or logo from your computer, and print a one off t shirt that will be delivered to you within a matter of days.

Your creation can be as simple or as complex as you wish, you can use a graphics program to draw your own design or just get a photograph you like, you can even type a slogan, in any of the fonts on your chosen site, directly onto the t shirt.

One good idea I heard recently is to search through your attic or local garage sale or even on online auction site for old magazine adverts, company logos from a bygone era, or old photographs, and to upload these to create a vintage looking item that is sure to get attention when you wear it.

Please remember you must always check that you have permission to use these images before you place them in your artwork.

If you are stuck for inspiration, most of these sites will already have many thousands of designs available that have already been created by artists and designers around the world, that you can choose from. You can often add your own touches to these to create a truly unique product.

Using these t shirt printing websites can also prove to be profitable, because if you do create your own design, you will have the option to post it for sale on the site earning you a profit if anyone else buys it in the future. Many people make a good income doing just that.

I hope I have given you a few ideas, and shown how much fun it can be, to make our own t shirt. Why not have a go, its an easy and enjoyable way to be unique and make an impact with your own wearable art.

Therefore, is making sure that I am able to get the best price for the t shirt that I am printing. That is why I use wholesale t shirt printing, I know that is going to be the best way for me to get the best possible price on the t shirts that I need.

I love the fact that we can design the t shirt online, and have the entire team have a choice to help us look at the shirts that we are choosing. We love having wholesale t shirt printing because we have the options that the big companies have, even though we are not a big company.

We have a logo that we have used for years, so we want to make sure that our custom logo is represented somewhere on out t shirt.

When we found out that the t shirt printer would allow us to use our own logo was one of the biggest features that we have.

As one of the three coaches we like to have our shirts embroidered. We have decided that we want polo T Shirts with coaches embroidered on the front with the logo under that. I was so surprised that we had that option. We even decided to allow the captains to have an embroidered shirt as well. Knowing that we can use the wholesale t shirt printing and know that we are getting the best prices, but have the custom embroidered designs is a great feature.

The rest of the team has decided on silk screen shirts. They want the logo as a pocket logo, with the team name under the logo. On the back they wanted to have the option of their name, and a picture of their stroke. I love the unique t shirt that they have designed, but they will be t shirt that we will be able to keep for many years to come.

Using a wholesale t shirt printing, we are getting some unique options.

Being able to design the entire shirt to fit the needs of our team. We are also getting an option for the best possible price. We have checked out other options and this gives us the best possible prices for our team. Louis Zhang, Tshirtprintinginc dot com

Make a Sleeveless Shirt From an Unused T-Shirt

Posted in Uncategorized on August 28th, 2011 by – Be the first to comment

Sleeveless T-shirts have been, and will continue to be popular choices for men’s summer wear. Here I will detail how you can turn a regular T-shirt into a sleeveless T-shirt

There are two ways to cut a men’s T-shirt; either leave the seam on the shirt or just cut the seam off with the sleeve. If you leave the seam on the shirt, it will make the shirt stronger and less likely to rip down from the armholes. It also makes the shirt look neater and if you do it right, it’s hard to tell the shirt apart from the sleeveless T-shirts from the store. See Homemade DIY Sleeveless shirt craft slideshow guide (seam remain, neat, strong variant) for a detailed, step by step slideshow.

Cutting the seam off allows for the shirt to be more comfortable. It also gives it a more ragged look. This would be the preferred method if the lounge feel were desired. The liability is that the shirt is more prone to rip. It also would cause the armholes to be deeper which can be a problem with baggy shirts. This method allows tight shirts to be comfortable and loose shirts to look good. See Homemade DIY sleeveless shirt detailed slideshow guide, comfort variant for a detailed, easy to follow picture guide.

Spread the shirt out and make a small hole in the sleeve about an eighth of an inch from the seam, with a pair of scissors. Insert one blade of the scissors into the hole and cut around the sleeve, cutting through only one side at a time. The cut should be right next to the seam. If the seam is to be left on the shirt, it is important to cut between an eighth of an inch and a quarter of an inch from the seam. To cut too close causes the seam to come apart with time, and to leave too much sleeve causes not only a ragged look but also the remainder of the sleeve to curl outwards. If the seam is not being kept, distance is not as important.

A funny thing about T-shirts is that the sleeve always wants to curl outwards, but the shoulder always curls over inwards. It is that exact curling that with time, works to make the T-shirt look neater yet still comfortable. To hasten the curling, gently tug on the cloth like you were trying to pull the armhole wider and it will curl over.

Long Sleeved T-shirts are also good for cutting to sleeveless shirts. Because the only difference is the length of the sleeve, the shirt will look the same once it is cut. Set aside the sleeves for future crafts or uses.

There are a number of different crafts and uses for T-shirt sleeves. The sleeve can be made into a hat or a headband, for example. They can be worn under a baseball cap for the ghetto look. Or if the shirt is a certain color cloth that is needed for a specific craft, the sleeves can be cut off so you still have a shirt while also having the cloth needed for the project.

Long sleeved T-shirt sleeves are more desirable for crafts. Not only do they make good nightcaps, but also they can be made into a handbag. Sew up the cut end and then make two holes on the inside of the cuff on either side of the seam. These holes go only through one half of the cuff. Insert a string which then serves as not only a handle but pulls the bag closed. My favorite craft is to sew a ball into the sleeve. To do so, I sew the cuff shut, then put the ball into the sleeve. On the other side of the ball, I use a rubber band, which I twist until tight. This holds the ball in place without having to sew it, allowing me to replace or remove the ball as desired. Now I have a “comet” ready to launch with the swing of a bat.

The History of The Tuxedo Tee Shirt

Posted in Uncategorized on August 18th, 2011 by – Be the first to comment

Article by Chris Sweeney

Don’t you just love when you go out somewhere and you see somebody wearing the infamous tuxedo tee shirt? You will see people wearing them all over the place, from bachelor parties, to giving them as gag gifts, and even on the beach! The truth is though, that not too many people know much of the history of the tee shirt, most specifically the tuxedo tee shirt.

It is not too easy to tell exactly when and where tee shirts originated. Some archaeologists say that the soldiers of Rome would wear a pseudo-tee shirt as an undergarment to their main gear. The Germans and French of World War I have also worn an undergarment that resembled the tee shirt.

It would be safe to say that Americans got the idea of the tee shirt from the British Navy who are speculated to have been wearing tee shirts since the last decade of the 1800s. In his 1920 novel, This Side Of Paradise, F. Scott Fitzgerald mentions a “sweater or t-shirt”. The term t-shirt later appeared in the American Webster’s dictionary by the end of that decade.

Since then, the t-shirt industry has grown tremendously, with the Wizard Of Oz tee shirts in 1939, to the “Dew It For Dewey” political tee shirts in 1948. Then, the tee shirt was popularized in Marlon Brando’s 1951 film “A Streetcar Named Desire” and James Deans’ 1955 flick “Rebel Without A Cause”.

Along with tie die tees and Beatles tees, the tuxedo tee shirt came out in the 1960s. People would wear themall over the place all the time for any occasion: weddings, Halloween, even some famous rappers wore them.

The tuxedo tee shirt is almost 50 years old, and their popularity has never ceased – you will still see people wearing them everywhere you go. There are even variations now on the original tuxedo tee shirt: classic, famous, rhinestone, ladies, various colors, and even tuxedo tee shirt for babies!

For more information on the tuxedo tee shirt and a list of great places to get various styles of the tuxedo tee shirt, check out my blog here: Tuxedo Tee Shirt Blog
