Easily Make Your Own T Shirt And Stand Out From the Masses

It’s easy to make our own t shirt. Once you have your inspiration you can probably put something unique together in as little as a few minutes. Just taking an old shirt and adding to it by sewing on a patch or using paints or marker pens is the simplest way. It’s a fun activity for anyone at any age and at the end you will have a unique creation, that you can be confident you wont see anyone else wearing.

It doesn’t have to be expensive to make your own t shirt. You can start by using one of your old t shirts that has seen its last wash cycle, or by visiting your local charity shops and second hand stores to pick up shirts that you can give a new lease of life to. Your only other expense is the materials to create your design, and you can get fabric paints or markers printed or embroidered patches and iron on transfers from your local hobby or arts and craft shop or online, there are even blank iron on transfer paper you can print yourself using your computer and any printer.

If you don’t have the time, or the inclination, to get your hands dirty by creating or printing your own, there are many online print on demand websites that allow you to upload a design or logo from your computer, and print a one off t shirt that will be delivered to you within a matter of days.

Your creation can be as simple or as complex as you wish, you can use a graphics program to draw your own design or just get a photograph you like, you can even type a slogan, in any of the fonts on your chosen site, directly onto the t shirt.

One good idea I heard recently is to search through your attic or local garage sale or even on online auction site for old magazine adverts, company logos from a bygone era, or old photographs, and to upload these to create a vintage looking item that is sure to get attention when you wear it.

Please remember you must always check that you have permission to use these images before you place them in your artwork.

If you are stuck for inspiration, most of these sites will already have many thousands of designs available that have already been created by artists and designers around the world, that you can choose from. You can often add your own touches to these to create a truly unique product.

Using these t shirt printing websites can also prove to be profitable, because if you do create your own design, you will have the option to post it for sale on the site earning you a profit if anyone else buys it in the future. Many people make a good income doing just that.

I hope I have given you a few ideas, and shown how much fun it can be, to make our own t shirt. Why not have a go, its an easy and enjoyable way to be unique and make an impact with your own wearable art.

Question by Chris Loves Tiffy: Is the “CTR” in which I see on UFC fighter fight shirts “Choose the Right” from the LDS church?
I see what appears to be CTR on fight shirts of UFC fighters during competition. I haven’t been able to find any information on this online. Perhaps it means something other than “Choose the Right”. If so what is it? Thanks…

No, the C is actually a backwards D, so it is DTR which stands for Dethrone, just another shitty skulls and pitbulls clothing company.
