A Valentines Gift with a Difference

Some people are lucky enough and popular enough to receive dozens of red envelopes each Valentines Day, each card and gift snazzier and more opulent than the next, with wafts of expensive perfume or cologne permeating the mail box until Spring!   Wading through a sea of undying sentiments of devotion is a great way to boost your ego once a year!

For more ordinary human beings, however, the reality is that we receive just one special card or gift from the person we love best in the World and the rest are joke cards and gifts from casual friends.  That special gift is the one that means everything.  It is the gift we are waiting for and without it, the rest means nothing…

Loving someone and being loved in return brings special responsibilities.  That obligation includes not only being there every day of the year and not just on Valentines Day, but also saying as much, in every way we can, especially on Valentines Day.

Most of us are lucky enough to have a special someone who loves us just the way we are.  Sometimes, it is easy to imagine we are taken for granted or sidelined by everyday routine, so Valentines Day presents us with a special opportunity to tell our special someone that we love them all the time, not just on high days and holidays.

A Valentines gift for Mr or Miss or Mrs Special needs to be something solid and enduring; not necessarily expensive but something that will last as long as the love you feel.  That rules out the ‘silly gifts’ that are traditionally given by friends as a well meaning tease, such as pencils with fluffy red feather attachments; giant lollipops with ‘I Love You’ written in screaming orange on hot pink; cards that play a plinky plonky version of ‘Strangers in The Night’ when opened!

Giving a gift that can be shared is the most romantic gesture – one for you and one for me – especially if the gift is unique…one of a kind, no two alike

Putting your heart in the mailbox is a difficult task, especially if you are not the sentimental type.  Giving a lasting gift can be your opportunity to say all the things you have not said since last February!  Say it properly this year with a beautiful and endurable gift that is uniquely different…
